Aloha Friday: Beckoning drums signal the opening of our special festivities held every Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. near the waterfall in the Great Hall on the first floor. Enjoy a mini Polynesian show, hands-on lei making demonstrations, hula dancing performances, Polynesian art tattooing, and a Samoan Fire knife dancer.
E Makani Eha: Stop by any afternoon for some lively fun or join us for lei/hula lessons, storytelling and Hawaiian Language or Hawaiian Crafts from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. E Makani Eha is located on the second floor Diamond Head Tower.
Shopping: With more than 50 boutiques and shops spread throughout three floors of the hotel, shopping at the Pualeilani Atrium Shops is great fun for adults and children. Shoppers will find Hawaiian jewelry, formal and casual attire, cosmetics and fragrances, gift items, children’s clothing, children’s toys, sundry items and fine arts. Fine brand goods can be found at UGG Australia, Coach, Nine West, Tori Richards, Swatch, Thomas Sabo and Bree . ABC, Products of Hawaii Too, and La Maison provide perfect solutions for gift shopping. Historical Tour of Pualeilani: With an emphasis on an area of Queen Kapi’olani estate, Pualeilani, Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa’s new guided tour focuses on the avenues surrounding the hotel – Uluniu Avenue, Kalakaua Avenue, Ka’iulani Avenue, and Koa Avenue. The forty-five minute narration includes information about some of Hawaii’s popular ali’i, (royalty), as well as important elements in Hawaiian culture; e.g., the meaning of Aloha. The free tour is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; participants meet in the hotel’s Great Hall near the waterfall. Please call (808) 237-6135 for information.
